Muhammad Shahriar Mozid is a Barrister-at-Law with over a decade of experience in commercial and corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. He holds an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London, an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from Northumbria University, and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2013.

Shahriar has held senior leadership roles within multinational organisations, including serving as Country Legal & Compliance Head for Siemens and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In these roles, he advised senior management on complex commercial, regulatory, and governance matters, negotiated high-value contracts, and led organisation-wide compliance frameworks covering anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC) obligations, data protection, and international sanctions.

At Siemens, he led the company’s global carve-out initiative in Bangladesh, successfully managing a major corporate demerger under significant regulatory and operational pressures during the COVID-19 pandemic. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, he headed the legal advisory function in Bangladesh, provided cross-border legal support to PwC India for non-government clients, introduced governance enhancements, and delivered firm-wide compliance training.

His project experience includes several high-profile national and international infrastructure initiatives, including the Dhaka Metro Rail project, the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Terminal 3 expansion, and the Payra Power Plant. He has advised government bodies such as DESCO, BREB, and BPDB, and has worked on projects funded by international development partners including the World Bank, KfW, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Shahriar has also advised leading private-sector conglomerates across South Asia, including Bashundhara Group, Grasim, Aditya Birla Group, Adani Group, and Reliance Group.
